DESCRIPTION

The online course "The Notice of Procedural Safeguard (TEXAS)" will discuss the State of Texas Procedural Safeguards. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), as amended in 2004, requires schools to provide parents of a child with a disability with a notice containing an explanation of the procedural safeguards available under the IDEA. In accordance with 34 CFR §300.504, a copy of the procedural safeguards must be available to the parents of a child with a disability and must be given to the parents only one time per school year, except that a copy also must be given to the parents
