The eLearning course, “Specific Learning Disability: 13 Categories of IDEA Eligibility, “will focus on specific learning disability and the 13 eligibility for special education services, and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). A Specific Learning Disability definition pertains to a neurological disorder that produces a learning deficit that delays or impairs learning. The term was originally categorized in 1975 by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, known as IDEA. Students who qualify for a specific learning disability are of average to above-average intelligence.
