An Unfocused Brain: Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
DESCRIPTION
The eLearning course “An Unfocused Brain: Traumatic Brain Injury" will discuss the human brain and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). The brain is like a committee of experts. All the parts of the brain work together, but each part has its own special properties. The brain is a complex organ that controls thought, memory, emotion, touch, motor skills, vision, breathing, temperature, hunger and every process that regulates our body. Together, the brain and spinal cord that extends from it make up the central nervous system, or Central Nervous System. The brain can be divided into three basic units: the forebrain, the midbrain, and the hindbrain. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is caused by an external force. To learn more about TBI it’s important to understand federal and state requirement for this suspected disability.
