DESCRIPTION: The eLearning course will discuss Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) occurs at the cellular level. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is caused by an external force. To learn more about TBI it’s important to understand federal and state requirement for this suspected disability. The school district or charter school must follow all of the evaluation procedures and use qualified professions to conduct the evaluation. At the center of the evaluation will be eligibility criteria. A child with a TBI will have an acquired injury to the brain that : 1. Caused by an external physical force, 2. Resulting in total or partial functional disability or psychosocial impairment, or both and 3. That adversely affects the child's educational performance.

Learning Objective # 1 – Identify the structure of the human brain.
Learning Objective # 2 – Discuss levels of traumatic brain injuries to determine a person’s basic needs.
Learning Objective # 3 – Evaluate how Individual Educational Plans (IEP) are created, developed and implemented.
Learning Objective # 4 – Explain the evaluation process framework.

•Face-to-face Training Course/s: Any cancellation of face-to-face training course/s must be sent to setc@spedtraining.com no later than 7 calendar days prior to the starting date of the face-to-face training course/s. At that time a full refund will be given through STRIPE within 30 business days. A cancellation fee of $50.00 per face-to-face training course/s will be charged, if a face-to-face training course/s are cancelled 1-6 days prior to the starting date of face-to-face training course/s. No refunds will be given after the starting date of the face-to-face training course/s. Face-to-face training course/s are not transferable to any face-to-face training course/s and/or eLearning course/s.

•eLearning Course/s: No refunds will be given for ANY eLearning course/s and the fee is NOT transferable to any face-to-face training course/s and/or eLearning courses/s.

*Nonattendance: No refunds will be given for nonattendance of a face-to-face course/s and/or any other.
