Description  
The online course, Onboarding Education Advisory Board (EAB) course, is a structured, compliance-centered orientation designed to prepare all Education Advisory Board members to effectively support, guide, and oversee the Special Education Educator Preparation Program (SpEd EPP). This course introduces board members to the governance structure, legal framework, operational procedures, ethical responsibilities, and continuous improvement expectations associated with serving on a Texas-aligned Educator Preparation Program advisory board.

Identify the purpose, mission, and organizational structure of the Special Education Educator Preparation Program (SpEd EPP) and the Education Advisory Board (EAB).

Explain the roles, responsibilities, and governance expectations of Education Advisory Board members in accordance with TEA, SBEC, and TAC requirements.
#3 LEARNING OBJECTIVE (Applying)

Demonstrate understanding of onboarding procedures, confidentiality requirements, FERPA compliance, ethical standards, and required training activities.
#4 LEARNING OBJECTIVE (Analyzing)

Review and analyze key compliance requirements, governance procedures, and continuous improvement expectations associated with the SpEd EPP.
#5 LEARNING OBJECTIVE (Evaluating)

Provide informed feedback and recommendations to support program effectiveness, educator preparation quality, and continuous improvement efforts within the SpEd EPP.
