Accessibility Commitment
At Special Education Compliance and Training LLC (SECT LLC)
and its division, the Special Education Training Center (SETC), we are
committed to ensuring that all educators, candidates, and partners can access
high-quality training and certification experiences. As an organization
dedicated to special education compliance and educator preparation,
accessibility is not only a legal requirement—it is a core part of our mission
to serve all learners equitably.
Our goal is to make every online course, resource, and communication accessible to users of all abilities, in alignment with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standards. Our Accessibility Approach We continually evaluate, enhance, and improve accessibility across our websites, online courses, and digital materials. SECT LLC follows the WCAG 2.1 AA standards established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We utilize the Accessible Rich Internet Applications (WAI-ARIA) specification to support assistive technologies. Our products and learning environments are periodically reviewed using the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) for compliance alignment. 2. Compatibility Testing.
We test our online platform and e-learning systems with multiple screen readers and accessibility tools, including: NVDA, JAWS®, VoiceOver, TalkBack, and Windows Magnifier. 3. Subtitles and Closed Captions. All instructional videos and webinars include machine-generated or human-reviewed captions in English. · When possible, closed captions are provided in additional languages. · Transcripts are available upon request for learners who prefer written formats or require alternative media. 4. Video and Player Settings · Our integrated video player includes adjustable playback speed and quality, caption toggling, and keyboard shortcuts for start, stop, rewind, and fast-forward. 5. Course Design and Materials · All course materials are created using accessible templates and structured headings. · Images include alt text descriptions for screen-reader interpretation. · Interactive forms and quizzes use labeled form fields and logical tab order. · PDF resources are produced in tagged, screen-reader-compatible formats. 6. Instructor and Staff Training. We provide continuous professional-development guidance for instructors, designers, and staff on creating inclusive digital content and accessible visuals. 7. Ongoing Research and Auditing · SECT LLC partners with accessibility consultants to conduct periodic audits of our website and learning management systems. Findings guide updates and enhancements.
