

Special education is specially designed, curriculum, instruction, support, and related services provided to students who have been identified as having a disability that impacts their ability to learn. Students who meet the criteria for having a disability that is affecting their ability to learn will be provided a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), in compliance with regulations set forth in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Special
education services are provided to eligible students, ages 3 through 21 years old.
To be eligible for special education services, the following is required:
1. Student must have an identified disability.
2. Student’s disability must adversely affect the student’s educational performance; and
3. The students must require a specially designed instructional program.
