The eLearning course “Finding Color Through Visual Impairments” will provide the legal definition of a visual impairment and discuss the federal and state regulations that protect the rights of individual diagnosed with a visual impairment. It will also explore, the signs or symptoms of visual impairments and how it affects a person’s daily life. The role of the Ophthalmologists and Optometrist in that diagnoses will shed some additional light on treating visual impairments. In addition to this, the eLearning course will provide information about educating individuals who have been diagnosed with a visual impairment, use of assistive technology, related services, and current peer-reviewed research in the field of visual impairments.
